ROCHESTER, Minn. – A city bus skidded on a slick hill in the Northern Heights neighborhood and hit a tree and then went into the front deck of a house. Neither the driver nor the lone passenger was hurt. Nor was anyone in the house. Police said the bus driver had tried to make it up the hill but couldn’t. Giving up, the driver turned around and then lost control on the ice. The windshield was broken. Damage to the house was superficial. The accident was about 6:30 p.m.
