CANNON FALLS, Minn. – A worker at the Gemini custom signage plant was injured when chemicals were accidentally mixed and exploded. The worker was rushed to a hospital. The injuries, it was thought, were non-life-threatening. The explosion was about 5:15 p.m. The chemical assessment team from the Rochester Fire Department was called and determined there was no risk of further reactions. The team said, however, that the building was unsafe until contaminating residue and vapors were removed.
