ST. PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota’s state canvassing board unanimously certified the state’s election results. Joe Biden defeated President Trump by more than 233,000 votes — about 7 percentage points. The certification assures Biden of the state’s 10 electoral votes. Shortly before Board met to vote, the Minnesota Supreme Court deferred any action on a petition by a few Republican loyalists who wanted to delay the Board’s vote. Chief Justice Lorie Gildea said the plaintiffs provided no evidence to support their allegation of election irregularities.
