MADISON, Wis. – Plywood panels were placed over first-floor windows on the Wisconsin’s Capitol building in anticipation of possible mayhem patterned over what happened Wednesday at the national Capitol. A spokesoerson for the state Department of Administration, which oversees the Capitol police, called the plywood panels “a proactive cautionary measure.” Such precautions are being taken at state capitols throughout country.
