WINONA Minn. – A car was reported in the Mississippi River at McNally Landing on Prairie Island. Sheriff’s deputies tentatively concluded that the vehicle was one they already knew about. It had been in the water since 1974 and was showing now because water is low. The wreck was never in the navigation channel and had been left because it was so stuck in the mud.
