LACRESCENT, Minn. – Two cars collided at the Third Street corner with U.S. Highway 61 in the early morning commute, injuring one of the drivers. Abby Jean Bauer, 23, of Decorah, Iowa, went to a nearby hospital to be checked over. At the scene it appeared her injuries were non-life threatening. Bauer was driving a 2019 Volkswagen Arteon. She was entering U.S. 61 from Third Street. The other driver, Rhonda Lynn Heun, 52, of LaCrescent, was in a 2021 Toyota Camry. She was unhurt.
