ST. PAUL, Minn. – The 2022 Upper Mississippi shipping season has ended. The Army Corps, which operates the navigation system, cleared the twin-screw Motor Vessel Ashley Danielson through Lock and Dam 2 downriver at St. Paul at 4:25 a.m. The 2022 season started March 21 when a tow broke its way through the ice of Lake Pepin en route north to the head of navigation at St. Paul.
