Repurposed for the season
WINONA, Minn.— Downtown merchants have their display windows bedecked for the shopping season with a new centerpiece – a picturesque retreat in the hole-in-the-where the Brosnahan law office and the Islamic Center stood before fire destroyed the building in 2013. Danya and Carlos Espinosa opened the garden in July.
Who’s Peter?
The namesake for Peter’s Biergarten is Danya Espinosa’s German-born-grandfather. He emigrated to United States after surviving the Holocaust.
