ROCHESTER, Minn. – The chronic wasting disease that invaded southeast counties from Wisconsin is moving north and west, the state Department Resources said. A deer that was struck by a vehicle in the Rochester area tested positive for the disease when the carcass was brought to a DNR testing station. The deer, an adult female, deer was killed November 4 in Olmsted County. Earlier cases have been in Houston and Fillmore counties.
