ROCHESTER, Minn. –Two battery-powered city buses began service on Rochester Public Transit’s busiest peak-time transit route — the 560X. Not only are the buses the first electrics in Rochester’s fleet but also also they are the city’s fist articulated buses, with power in the front unit and with the second unit trailing. The 60-foot buses are New Flyer Xcelsior 60 Next-Gen models manufactured 150 miles away in Saint Cloud.
