AKE CITY, Minn. – A Lake City woman was injured critically in a head-on collision on Highway 55 in the Hennepin County town of Rockford. Nicole Ranae Synstelien, 36, was rushed 32 miles to a west Minneapolis hospital. Police said Synstelien’s vehicle was eastbound near High Street. The crash was about 8:15 p.m. The other driver, Garrett Schultz, 28, of Brooklyn Center, was treated at the scene. Syntelien was in a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban, Schultz in a 2017 Kia Sorento. Alcohol was involved, police said.
