LANSING, Iowa. – An Alaska-based contractor, Kaiyuh Services, will begin a fish and wildlife habitat restoration project at Conway Lake north of Lansing in May, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced. There will be new flood-plain forests and berms using sand dredged from the Mississippi River navigation channel in Pool 9. The sand had been stockpiled at Lansing Island.
