WASHINGTON – The closely watched Cook Political Report listed the Minnesota race for governor as “likely” to go Democratic. The Democratic incumbent, Tim Walz, has been running a relatively low-key campaign. Meanwhile, his challenger, Republican Scott Jensen, has raised eyebrows with loose talk that likened Walz to Hitler. Also: Jensen’s running mate. Former football pro and political newbie Matt Birk, has made himself look foolish by announcing that Walz had agreed to meet with him to resolve issues. There was no such meeting arranged. And why would Walz want to talk with anyone less than Jensen as the head of the GOP ticket. It made no sense
