ROCHESTER, Minn. – A Cochrane, Wisconsin, handyman was booked on drug charges after he went over a curb, onto a sidewalk, and up a grassy hill before rolling back into the lane of traffic. He was drunk, police said. Witnesses told police that the man, Dakota Scott Au, 26, appeared semiconscious, no hands on the steering wheel, with the car out of control. He was booked also for fifth-degree possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia. This was in the 1800 block of Assisi Drive Northwest. Au failed a field sobriety test, police said. Inside the vehicle, police said, were 9.5 grams of methamphetamine, 31 M-30 pills, a small amounts of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. The M-30 pills were sent to a lab to be examined for whether they were laced with fentanyl, which is epidemic in the area. Also, a blood sample from Au were was drawn and sent to the lab.
