WINONA, Minn. – A Winona man, Brently Steven Johnson, 57, was arrested at Royal Tobacco in a Frontenac Drive strip mall after a clerk called police that Johnson was back after using a stolen credit card a few days earlier. Police said that Johnson admitted using the card, which he said he found in the nearby Target parking lot. Police said they had Johnson empty his pockets and found methamphetamine. Their recommended charges: Possession of a controlled substance and credit card fraud. The arrest was about 1 p.m.
