HOUSTON, Minn. – A rural Houston man apparently figured all had gone well when a UPS driver dropped off a package he’d been waiting for. Then came someone else. Actually several somebodies.
“Knock, knock.”
“Who’s there?”
“Drug agents, and we’re not your friend.”
Todd Lamore, 59, was arrested and charged with felony first-degree meth possession. That UPS package, addressed to Lamore, had been intercepted at the Minneapolis airport with four pounds of meth inside. Agents let the package continue through the delivery sytsem. And there they were, the Southeast Minnesota Violent Crime Enforcement Team, on Lamore’s doorstep. Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Brian Swedberg said another half-pound of meth was in the house. The court set Lamore’s bail at $100,000.
