WINONA, Minn. – A pipe burst in a second-floor utility closet in the Saint Mary University administration building, causing a flood inside the historic building. Firefighters shut off incoming pipes. The worst damage was to offices. Firefighters responded to an alarm about 11:50 p.m. Tentatively they blamed corrosion at a water heater mixing valve. There was no apparent damage to the exterior. The building was generally unoccupied so late a night. There were no injuries.
