WINONA, Minn. – The county public health supervisor, Melanie Tatge, has been getting questions about where the money’s coming from for $50 gift cards for anyone taking a first covid shot the next few weeks. The answer? From the state Health Department’s campaign for a stronger statewide vaccination rate. “Winona County jumped on the bandwagon and is able to provide these incentives until the end of the year,” Tatge said in an interview on KWNO radio.
