MADISON, Wis. – The new Omicron Covid variant is in Wisconsin. The state Health Department confirmed the first case in a Milwaukee man who returned recently from South Africa. His symptoms were described as mild. The man was fully vaccinated and just recently received a booster shot, the Health Department said. It was in South Africa that Omicron first was identified two weeks ago.
