DEPERE, Wis. – A 10-year veteran of the Wisconsin Legislature, Senator Andre Jacque, R- De Pere, was hospitalized with Covid- induced pneumonia. Jacque believes in contracted the virus in Madison two weeks earlier but didn’t recognize symptoms until returning home. Some of his family also have tested positive. Jacque was elected from Door and Kewaunee counties and parts of Brown, Calumet and Manitowoc counties. Jacque has been one of the Legislature’s most conservative members and a vocal opponent of mask and vaccine mandates.
