DAKOTA, Minn. — Fire damaged a historic house, built in 1847 as a stagecoach stop, as well as an adjacent garage that housed the Precision Tool and Cutter Sharpening Co. The siding on two nearby residences was damaged. The owner said that he had been grinding tools in the garage but that the fire didn’t start where he was working. The address: 760 River Street.
