ROCHESTER, Minn. – An auto-body repairman jumped into the open trunk of a customer’s car after the guy refused to pay up and was driving off. Thus began a wild 100-mph ride. Police got involved when a 911 call arrived from the trunk of the car about 4 p.m. Yes, from the trunk. Deputies spotted the car on County Road 2 east of Century High School and gave chase — with the auto-body guy still in the trunk. The chase went west on East Circle Drive to 37th Street at speeds of up to 100 mph, switched to the eastbound lanes of 37th near the Holiday station, then back into the westbound lanes at 18th, then north on 19th, at which point deputies lost sight. The man in the trunk was let out near 45th Street and 15th Avenue Northwest a few minutes later. Police found the car parked in the area of 41st Street and 18th Avenue around 4:45 p.m.  The driver was nearby. Arrested was Seth Sorenson, 27, of Rochester. What about the $4,000 due to Chico’s Autobody Repair? Chico’s still waiting.

Sorenson. Did he know what he’d driven off with?
