WINONA, Minn. – Deputies put down 12 cattle that were gravely injured when a livestock truck crashed off an Interstate 90 bridge Wednesday at Dakota. Several cattle died outright. Others, said Sheriff Ron Ganrude, were shot by deputies at the owner’s instruction. They were beyond saving, Ganrude said. Cattle that survived the crash were rounded up and loaded in another truck for market.
