CHASKA, Minn. — State Sen. Scott Jensen, R-Chaska, who is a physician, acknowledged that said he’s being investigated by the state Medical Practices Board for comments about the coronavirus. Jensen said he would cooperate with investigators even though, he said, the investigation was a witch hunt. Jensen had criticized the state Health Department for applying federal categories to deaths as due to COVID-19. The result, he said, was that the death toll might be inflated. The complaint also charged that Jensen spread “reckless advice” by comparing COVID-19 with the flu. Jensen said that he doesn’t know who filed the complaint but that he had no regrets for what he said. Jensen is seeking a second term in the November election.
