WINONA, Minn. – A Winona man, Khalid Alyami, 26, led police on a brief foot chase near an apartment house on Sarnia Street. Police said Alyami had been speeding and swerving. Once stopped, he ran. The cops ran faster. Alyami was charged with refusing a blood-alcohol test, driving after revocation, and fleeing police. The arrest was about 2:30 a. m.
