TOMAH, Wis. – A Sparta woman died after she lost control of her car on Interstate 90 and was thrown out of her vehicle and then was struck by an oncoming car. The State Patrol did not release the names of the drivers immediately. The Patrol said the woman was driving east in a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe about 5:40 a.m. She lost control on snow and ice. Her car overturned on the median and came to rest on its left side on the westbound lanes. During the rollover, the woman was ejected from he vehicle and landed in a traffic lane. A Tomah man, driving west in a 2012 Dodge Charger, struck the woman. He too was injured, the Patrol said.
