HOMER, Minn. – An Illinois driver swerved to avoid a deer on Highway 61 downriver from Homer and overturned her car. Winona Ann Sullivan, 25, of Lake in the Hills, suffered a knee injury but declined medical treatment. This was about 3:50 a.m. near the Woodland Hills Drive turn-off. Deputies suspected alcohol was involved and took a blood sample, which was sent to a state lab for testing.
