ROCHESTER, Minn. – A southeast Rochester couple was robbed at gunpoint while driving into the driveway at their house about 10 p. m. This is what they told police: The man, who was driving, said two men suddenly appeared. He got out. One robber beat him with a bat or bar and demanded his wallet and gold necklace. The man complied. The other robber put a gun to the woman’s head. She gave him her money. The two robbers left. The couple called 911. The gold necklace was worth $3,000, the man said. The couple offered only a vague description of the robbers. The robbery was in the 1500 block of 19th Avenue Southeast.
