EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – An Eau Claire man, Edwin J. Marcia-Smith, was shot and killed at his South Side apartment Friday night. Police Chief Matt Rokus said Marcia-Smith was a member of a Chicago street gang. A 32-year-old woman at the apartment said that two armed men kicked in the door and pointed a gun, police said. The woman said she wrestled one intruder to the ground and was holding him in a headlock when she heard five or six shots and realized that both she and Garcia-Smith were shot. Police said Garcia-Smith took three bullets in the back. The woman was wound in her right leg.
