MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. – The Minnesota Board on Judicial Standards reprimanded Winona County Judge Mary Leahy for trash-talk emails using her official court account. An email audit found the judge had called one lawyer “an awful attorney.” Another attorney she called “a most obnoxious mean man.” She referred to sheriff’s office employees as “stupid people.” The Board called the language counter to the decorum expected of a judge.
