DULUTH, Minn. – The man killed after an all-day stand-off with police Friday was David “Pogo” Joseph Wayne Conwell, 37, of Duluth, authorities confirmed. He was shot multiple times. Conwell was wanted on numerous felony warrants. The latest were two warrants in October for failure to appear at a hearing, according to court documents. In April there had been a warrant for a probation violation related to second-degree assault. In 2004 when he was 24, Conwell was sentenced to 21 months in prison for assault.
