ST. PAUL, Minn. – Attorney General Keith Ellison learned he was infected with CoVid in a mandatory test while waiting to catch a Minneapolis-bound airplane in Europe. He won’t be allowed back in the United States – or to board any flight – until after a quarantine period. He had been on a family trip but didn’t identify where or at which the airport he was stopped. Ellison, who has had had mild multiple sclerosis for several years, called his symptoms mild. “I’m very grateful to have been vaccinated and boosted,” Ellison said. “The science is clear: Vaccines and booster shots make Covid symptoms mild and manageable for most of us if we do contract the virus. My case is more proof of that.” He said he had no idea where he caught the virus. The mild cold-like symptoms came later, after the positive test, he said. Although an ocean away, he said he plans continue to work in quarantine.
