WINOINA, Minn. – An exhibit by Finnish-born artist Anita Jain runs through August 19 at the Winona Historical Museum’s Slaggie Gallery. The opening reception: 4 to 6 p.m., July 23. The River Arts Alliance arranged the exhibit “Wild Knowing.” Jain, from Maple Grove, finds inspiration in Finnish folklore and nature. Her work has been shown at the American Swedish Institute, the Perpich Center for Arts, the Nordic Center in Duluth, and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. In Finland she has exhibited at the Textile Museum of Finland, the Kortteli Museum of Kuopioin, and the Art Factory of Porvoo.
