ROCHESTER, Minn. – Two overdose deaths early in the week have been blamed tentatively on heroin perhaps laced with fentanyl, police said. On Monday the wife of 34-year-old man found him dead at home. This was in the 1200 block of First Street Southwest. On Tuesday a 63-year-old man was found dead in the 1400 block of 16th Avenue Northwest. In both places, drugs were at the scene, police said. The deaths follow three overdoses the previous weekend, also involving heroin and perhaps fentanyl.
