FORT MCCOY, Wis. – Significantly fewer soldiers trained at Fort McCoy thus past year – 77,000 compared to 116,000 the year before. Post authorities attributed the decline to resources assigned to help resettle 13,000 refugees from the emergency evacuation of Kabul. Fort McCoy’s primary mission is  trainign Army Reservists, National Guard members and active-duty troops other branches.
