FOUNTAIN City, Wis. –A woman from Cloquet, Minnesota, was killed in a three-vehicle collisionn ear where Main Street splits off from State Highway 35, near the town’s Kwik Trip. Jodi King, 45, was heading upriver when she crossed the centerline, accelerated, and hit two parked vehicles. Her car came to rest in the southbound lane. First-responders said King was no longer breathing when they arrived. The accident was about 6 p.m. No one else was injured.
Out of control. Autopsy pending to determine whether the accident or incapacitation at the wheel caused the death.
