WINONA, Minn. – The state Department of Transportation updated the Winona County Board on projects that have been scaled back due to revenue losses from the COVID-19 pandemic. With people driving less, $400 million in fuel taxes has been lost, an agency rep said. Even so, these major projects were among those still listed for coming years:
> the US 14 four-lane expansion from Dodge Center to Owatonna, for 2019 to 2021.
> US 52 rural regrade from Cannon Falls to Zumbrota, for 2021 to 2023.
> US 52 and I-90 bridges, for 2024 to 2025.
Resurfacing and highway improvement projects are scheduled int Winona County, in Winona, and on Highway 61.
