- PAUL, Minn. – Governor Tim Walz said the state will expand its offering of saliva tests for the coronavirus into a statewide free mail-in program. The program will open others Wednesday in Winona and then expand to other cities. The whole program will be in place sometime in November, Walz said. In a prototype, the state opened a saliva site in Duluth three weeks ago with 8,000 tests so far. Minnesotans will be able to get tested without leaving home, Walz said.
