PAUL, Minn. – State Republican chair Jennifer Carnahan characterized the protesters outside the house of Minneapolis police union leader over the weekend as “radical Democrats.” The rally was led by Democratic legislative candidate John Thompson, whose rhetoric was spike with street talk. Said Carnahan: “This action, and the overall sentiment of today’s Democrats, is reprehensible.” Thompson has since apologized.
