WINONA, Minn. – This weekend will approach fall’s most glorious colors in southern Minnesota. The state Natural Resources Department’s new color map shows Winona, Wabasha and Olmsted counties and the southern tier of counties at 50% to 7% of their peak. The Twin Cities is even nearer peaking. Alas, northern Minnesota already more barren than colorful.

DNR tracking. As of September 15.
