ISABELLA, Minn. –  The Greenwood Fire leaped over Highway 2 southwest of Isabella, growing to 4,700 acres and pushing back fire lines uncontained. Seasonal cabins and some year-round homes were evacuated. The U.S. Forest Service has 250 firefighters on the ground with 38 fire rigs, two bulldozers and three water tankers. Three aircraft have been dropping water on the fire. Meanwhile, evacuations continued in the Stony Lake and Sand Lake areas. Earlier in the week, about 90 residents were evacuated from the McDougal Lake area. No structures have been lost so far, the Forest Service said.
