WHITEHALL, Wis. – The new Gundersen Tri-County hospital will be more energy efficient than its 60-year-old predecessor. Gundersen’s facility director, Alan Eber, said heat recovery systems, LED lights, and solar panels will help make the new hospital energy neutral. Energy-efficient initiatives also will improve patient health, he said. The burning of fossil fuels causes health issues, so it goes against our mission.”
