ST. PAUL, Minn. – State tax collections continued to exceed expectations in November and December, the state budget office reported. Coming into the state’s general fund was more than $4 billion — 4.3% more than projections. Corporate taxes exceeded the forecast at $429 million, 36% higher than the forecast. Sales tax revenues beat the projection by 3.5%. On the downside slightly: Individual income tax payments were off roughly 1%.
