HAYFIELD, Minn. – A Rochester man was gravely injured in a collision with a semi-truck on Highway 56 south of Hayfield. Michael Anthony Scovill, 77, was airlifted 30 miles by to Rochester hospital. His injuries were described as life-threatening The collision was about 10:50 a.m. The truck driver, Donald Dean Fenske, 61, of Saint Charles, was also injured but less seriously. Mower County deputies said that Scovill was entering the highway from 750th Street in a 2015 Chevrolet Traverse. The semi rig, with a 2015 Freightliner tractor, was traveling north on Highway 56. Conditions were wet.
