PRESTON, Minn. – County Attorney Brett Corson dropped drug charges against a hemp farmer because witnesses had been sidelined with CoVid quarantines an isolation. Luis Miguel Hummel, 33, of Lanesboro, was arrested in June 2019. In a traffic stop, deputies found that his hemp product, 5th Sun Garden, tested for higher level of marijuana than allowed by state law. He was charged with fifth-degree sale of drugs, possession of a controlled substance, and fifth-degree degree drug possession.
