EAGAN, Minn. — Side by side Governor Tim Walz, a Democrat, and former Governor Tim Pawlenty, a Republican, rolled up their sleeves for CoVid vacations. Neither winced when jabbed. It was a staged high-visibility event at the mass inoculation site at the Vikings’ suburban Eagan training facility. The goal: Promote vaccinations in a bipartisan show. This week the shots are available to every Minnesotan age 16 and older.

You guessed it. Pawlenty in red to the right arm, Walz in blue to his left arm. Not that that it matters: Both got the J&J vaccine.

Verbatim

Walz: “It doesn’t matter where you live or who you vote for, we can all agree we need to end this pandemic. The vaccines are how we get there. So roll up your sleeves, Minnesota, the end is in sight.”

Pawlenty: “These vacs are safe and incredibly helpful, and everybody should get them.”
