After Floyd testimony, cop’s ex-home targeted
SANTA ROSA, Calif. – Vandals left a severed hog’s head on the porch of the former Santa Rosa home of a Minneapolis police use-of-force expert who testified on behalf of the officer accused of killing George Floyd. Also, blood was smeared on a garage. A few blocks away, blood on the statue of an oversize hand in front of Santa Rosa Plaza with a sign: “Oink, oink.” The house once was owned by Barry Brodd, a retired police officer who was on the stand in the Minneapolis murder trial last. Santa Rosa Police Chief Ray Navarro said it appeared the suspects in vandalism were targeting Brodd for his testimony. “Because Mr. Brodd no longer lives in the city of Santa Rosa, it appears the victim was falsely targeted,” Navarro said. The vandalism was found a about 3 a.m.
