Dog rescued, revived with resusictation
LACROSSE, Wis. — One person was taken to a hospital from a burning house on the South Side. The person’s name and condition were not released by the hospital. A second person and a dog were rescued. The dog required resuscitation but came out of it OK. The fire, reported about 5 a.m., severely damaged the house. At one point firefighters were driven back by heavy flames and heat. One firefighter was treated at the scene for an injury. It took five hours to extinguish the last embers.
