WINONA, Minn. – You may hear the weather before the day is out – thunder, wind and rain. A potent storm system has from the western Plains has moved into the Coulee region. A respite is expected Thursday, but lows through the weekend may dip to the low 40s. On average the region’s 161-day growing comes pretty much to an end with frost on October 7. So far this year, fall is running a little behind.
