WASHINGTON – The U.S. House voted 267-157 to endorse state laws that recognize gay marriage. The bill was designed to pre-empt rumblings among some U.S. Supreme Court justices to outlaw same-sex marriages as unconstitutional. The bill next goes to the U.S. Senate.
